Tenaska Imperial Solar Energy Center South is a 130-megawatt ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant near El Centro, Calif., capable of serving approximately 44,000 California homes. The plant is owned by CSOLAR IV South, LLC, an affiliate of independent energy company Tenaska, based in Omaha, Neb. Another affiliate, Tenaska Solar Ventures, LLC, developed the project and was named one of the top five utility-scale solar developers by PV News in 2011.
