General Verification Protocol 3.0 Public Comment Period Ends

The Climate Registry’s (TCR) General Verification Protocol (GVP) provides the verification requirements for TCR’s voluntary greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) reporting program. TCR developed the GVP to provide TCR-recognized verification bodies with clear instructions for executing a standardized approach to the independent verification of annual GHG emissions reported to TCR.

TCR is pleased to announce the launch of the GVP 3.0 Public Comment Period. TCR staff have drafted updates to the GVP to align with new requirements introduced in ISO 14064-3:2019, simplify the language and the structure of the protocol, and to incorporate feedback received from TCR members and verifiers.

TCR is seeking public comment on the draft protocol as well as responses to key questions in our technical support documents. The draft protocol, technical support documents, and feedback form are available on our Verification page HERE.
